We live in the Edwin, Al. where our spirit filled southern gospel group, “Rhonpaul” is based. I am a sinner saved by grace at the age of thirteen, who has been a gospel music enthusiast most of my life and a singer of this wonderful spirit filled music. God called me to go into all the world and preach and sing the gospel many years ago. I didn’t want to do that so I fought God’s will for my life. This was not a good decision and the devil lead me to places and deeds that was not pleasing to God. This path lead me into alcoholism, on the road back God allowed me to find AA and now I have been sober for over 30 years. Although living, what I called a spiritual life, I was not in God’s will. Well as many of you understand, my life was still in turmoil until I fully surrendered to God’s will. Since that moment God has used me to witness, preach and sing for his glory. The road has lead me to sing with a wonderful group of Christian men called Crimson River, which provided the path to form Rhonpaul, with my wife Rhonda.. Please pray for us and our ministry as we follow God’s path and calling to sing his word and see souls saved for Jesus Christ. Additionally, I am retired from the US Air Force and a career in Government contracting in Information/Communication Security. I have traveled all over the world in my professional career and have seen the wonder and beauty of this world that God created. All of this travel prepared me for this ministry and the travel it requires. My desire and prayer is that I walk in God's will and be a light in the darkness. Please pray for me as we begin this new adventure with Rhonpaul that we will carry the message of God's love and present his plan of salvation through song and message. My wife Rhonda deserves a medal for her hard work and dedication and even her being my #1 critic and partner.
I grew up in a small place called Bertha. We didn't have a post office nor a caution light. I attended high school at George W Long, and went my entire 12 years there. I graduated with honors. I served 12 years of my life in the Coast Guard Reserve. I was involved in a boating accident that ended my career with the reserves. I have been employed by Centurytel for almost 10 years now and really enjoy my job. I have been in some abusive relationships in my past and I feel that was due to my being out of the will of God. I had Him in my heart and prayed to Him often, but was not attending church and was not living the way God intended me to. I know it was through prayer that I am where I am today. I am married to a wonderful man and we have God in our daily lives. I love the Lord and enjoy singing His praises. I pray the Lord continues to bless our ministry and to use us in the furtherence of His Kingdom.
Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversations be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
I grew up in the "turbulent" sixties. I feel this prepared me for a life of turmoil. I did attend church and was faithful in Sunday School. This lasted until I was about 16 years old. I had accepted Christ at age 11. I went on to join the US Army and served as a Military Policeman for the entire time. I had always felt the call of God to serve him but ignored it, as most preachers do. My life was searching for anything but God. I served as a State Correctional Officer at Florida State Prison and then as a sheriff's deputy in Florida. After I was injured and realized that there was something missing, I turned back to God. He, in His wonderful way, called me into full time service, and provided me with the education at Bethel Bible College. I now Pastor full time here in Alabama. I feel that God led me to Rhonpaul Ministries to help meet the needs of more people in different ways. As a singer with the group and as a evangelist, God has opened many doors to minister in many ways and they are all blessings. I feel I am blessed by the people and by God in all that we do. Along with my wife, Jeri, we do Gods work together and our marriage and relationship is stronger now.
I was born in a non-church going family. My father was career Army and served all over the world. He was a Southern Baptist and did not attend. My mother was Episcopalian and rarely attended services. I was saved late in life, and after I married my husband, started to attend church regularly. When he decided to answer the call to preach and serve God. I supported the decision completely. I had a career in retail sales management and was hesitant about leaving it. But God provided for us in a way that Terry could still Pastor and I could still do my job. Being a Pastor's wife is a calling also. The opportunity to minister is not only on his shoulders. Rhonpaul Ministries has provided me with a way to minister through music that I had not expected. I feel that God is using this ministry and me to glorify His name and Kingdom. I pray God to bless each of us as we go out into the world to minister through our singing and the preaching of our husbands.
